# MCP (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor & more)

Let an AI agent run your CRM. Breakcold ships a hosted **MCP (Model Context Protocol) server** so tools like Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw and Hermes can read and write your records, inbox, tasks, notes and meetings — driven entirely by plain-English prompts.

## What is the Breakcold MCP?
MCP is an open standard that lets AI apps securely connect to external tools. Breakcold exposes **60+ native tools** across your whole workspace, so an agent can do things like:
* Summarize every conversation you've had with a contact across **email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram and meetings**
* Spot stalled deals and auto-create follow-up tasks
* Move deals through pipeline stages based on inbox signals
* Draft and send replies that match how each prospect writes
* Turn web research into structured notes on a company record
* Build any sales report you want (e.g. "Q4 closed-won by deal source")

Unlike most CRM integrations, the Breakcold MCP can also **send and reply** on LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram — not just read activity.

## Connection details
* **MCP endpoint:** https://mcp.breakcold.com/mcp/v1
* **Transport:** Streamable HTTP
* **Authentication:** OAuth sign-in (recommended) or a Bearer token

With OAuth, every action runs as *you* and respects your organization, workspace and record-level permissions. Use a Bearer token only when your client can't complete the OAuth flow — see the **API** article (in Settings) or the [authentication docs](https://docs.breakcold.com/api/authentication) for how to create one.

## ChatGPT — 1-click install from the official marketplace
Breakcold is listed on the **official ChatGPT app/connector marketplace**, so there's no manual setup. Just find **Breakcold** in the marketplace, click **install (1 click)**, and sign in with Breakcold OAuth to connect your workspace. Once installed, enable it in a chat and start giving ChatGPT instructions about your CRM. Full walkthrough: [ChatGPT setup docs](https://docs.breakcold.com/api/mcp-applications/chatgpt).

## OpenClaw & Hermes — native support
Breakcold is natively supported in **OpenClaw** and the **Hermes** agent, so you can add Breakcold as a built-in connector and authorize it with Breakcold OAuth — no custom endpoint wiring required.
* **OpenClaw:** add Breakcold from its connector list and sign in. See the [OpenClaw setup docs](https://docs.breakcold.com/api/mcp-applications/openclaw).
* **Hermes:** enable the Breakcold connector and authorize it. See the [Hermes setup docs](https://docs.breakcold.com/api/mcp-applications/hermes).

## Connect Breakcold to Claude
1. In Claude, go to **Settings → Connectors** (**Customize → Connectors**).
2. Click **+ Add custom connector** and name it **Breakcold**.
3. Paste the MCP endpoint: https://mcp.breakcold.com/mcp/v1
4. When prompted, sign in with **Breakcold OAuth** to authorize access.
5. In any chat, click **+ → Connectors** and enable **Breakcold** for that conversation.

| Tip — If OAuth fails in Safari on Claude Desktop, remove the connector and reconnect using Chrome or another Chromium-based browser.

Other clients (Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, LM Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot and more) follow the same idea — add a custom MCP/connector pointing at the endpoint above. Step-by-step guides per app are in the [MCP Applications docs](https://docs.breakcold.com/api/mcp-applications).

## The Breakcold Agent Skill (optional, recommended)
We publish a free, MIT-licensed **Agent Skill** that packages production-ready workflows on top of the MCP:
* Multichannel auto-task creation
* Pipeline auto-movement from inbox signals
* Visual CRM reports
* Prospect research into notes
* Inbox contact detection (create missing people)
* CRM setup from a website URL

## Frequently Asked Questions
**Which AI tools work with the Breakcold MCP?**
Any MCP-capable client. Natively supported: **Claude & Claude Code, ChatGPT (1-click from the official marketplace), OpenClaw and Hermes**. Also works with Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Continue, Goose, LM Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Open WebUI, plus custom LangChain/LlamaIndex/Python/Node agents.

**Is my data safe?**
Yes. With OAuth, the agent acts as you and can only touch what your account already has permission to. Bearer tokens respect their configured scopes and workspace limits.

**Do MCP actions cost tokens?**
Yes — the MCP uses the same token pricing as the API (roughly 0.2 tokens per read and 0.4 per write). See [What are Tokens Used For?](https://breakcold-aicrm.crisp.help/en/article/what-are-tokens-used-for-10z6aeh/).

**MCP vs. API — what's the difference?**
The MCP is for AI agents and chat apps (no code). The **API** (see the API article in Settings) is for developers building custom integrations and scripts. Both run on the same permissions and data.
