How to Reorganize the display of the Record Profile

Control exactly which sections appear on a record and in what order — works on People, Companies, Deals, and any custom object.

Overview

Every record profile in Breakcold has two customizable areas: the main Overview panel (sections like Last Interaction, Related Contacts, Record Stats) and the right-side fields panel (fields like Company, Location, Email, Owner). Both can be reorganized to match your workflow.

Works on all object types — The display customization described here applies to People, Companies, Deals, and any custom object you've created. Each object type saves its own layout independently.

Part 1 — Reorganize the Overview Sections

Step 1 — Enter Manage Display Mode

  1. Open any record (People, Company, Deal, or custom object).
  2. In the top-right area of the record, click Manage Display. The record enters edit mode — a Cancel and Save button appear alongside the Manage Display button.

Manage Display mode — the record enters an editable layout state where sections can be shown, hidden, and reordered.

Step 2 — Show or Hide Sections

  1. A section picker panel appears. Each available section is listed with a checkbox — toggle sections on or off to show or hide them on the Overview panel.

The available sections are:

Section

What it shows

Last Interaction

The most recent conversation or meeting with this contact

Related Contacts

Other records linked to this one via relations

The section picker — check or uncheck each section to show or hide it on the record's Overview panel.

Step 3 — Reorder the Sections

  1. Each visible section shows a drag handle (⠿) on its left edge in the layout.
  2. Drag and drop sections into the order you want them to appear on the Overview panel.

Drag handles appear on each section — drag them into your preferred order to reorganize the Overview layout.

Step 4 — Save the Layout

  1. Once satisfied with the layout, click Save in the top bar.
  2. "Overview layout saved" confirmation toast appears. The record returns to normal view mode with your new layout applied.

Layout saved — the "Overview layout saved" toast confirms the change. The layout is now applied to all records of this object type.

Tip — The layout you save applies to all records of that object type. For example, changing the layout on a People record updates the layout for every People record in your workspace.

Part 2 — Reorganize the Right-Side Fields Panel

The right-side panel displays your record's fields (Company, Email, Phone, Owner, etc.). You can reorder these fields to put the most important ones at the top.

  1. On any record, look at the right-side fields panel. Fields that are visible show a drag handle on hover.
  2. Drag and drop any field up or down to change its position in the panel.
  3. The new order is saved automatically — no separate Save step required for field reordering.

The right-side fields panel — hover over any field to reveal the drag handle, then drag it to your preferred position.
Reordering fields — drag fields into the order that makes sense for your workflow. Changes are saved automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does changing the layout on one record affect all records of the same type?
Yes. The Overview section layout and field order are set per object type, not per individual record. Saving a layout on one People record updates the layout for all People records in your workspace.
Can I have different layouts for People vs. Deals vs. Companies?
Yes — each object type saves its own layout independently. You can have a different set of visible sections and field order for People, Companies, Deals, and each custom object.
How do I hide a section I no longer need?
Click Manage Display, uncheck the section in the picker panel, then click Save.
Can I reorder fields in the right-side panel without entering Manage Display mode?
Yes — field reordering in the right-side panel is done directly by dragging, without needing to click Manage Display. It's a separate control from the Overview section layout.
What does "Soon" mean next to some sections?
Sections marked "Soon" (like AI Summary and Chat with Lead) are coming features that are not yet fully active but are visible as placeholders in the layout picker.
