Can You Add Custom Activities to Contacts
Yes — log any custom activity (meetings, calls, events, and more) directly on any record in Breakcold.
Overview
Breakcold lets you manually log custom activities on any record — People, Companies, Deals, or any custom object. This is useful for tracking offline interactions like in-person meetings, phone calls, or events that happen outside your usual digital channels.
Each activity supports:
- Title — a name for the activity
- Date and time — with start and end time (duration calculated automatically)
- Description — rich-text notes with @mention support to tag teammates
- Participants — the team members involved
- Linked records — automatically linked to the record it was created from
Step 1 — Open the Activities Tab on a Record
- Open any record — a contact, company, deal, or custom object.
- Click the Activities tab at the top of the record. You'll see all existing activities logged for this record.
- Click + Add activity in the top-right corner to open the activity modal.

Step 2 — Fill In the Activity Details
The New activity modal opens. Fill in the details:
- Type a title for the activity (e.g. "Physical Event Meeting Clay Convention").
- Set the date and start time. Breakcold will auto-calculate the duration once you set an end time.
- Set the end time using the time picker. The duration (e.g. 1h 30m) is shown automatically.
- The Participants field is pre-filled with your name. Add other team members if needed.
- The Linked records field is pre-filled with the current record — add more records if this activity spans multiple contacts or deals.

Step 3 — Add a Description (Optional)
- Toggle on Description at the bottom of the modal to reveal the notes area.
- Type your notes about the interaction. You can write as much detail as needed.
- Use @mention to tag a teammate inline (e.g.
@Matteo Le Floch). They'll be notified and can follow up.

Description enabled — the notes area appears below the main fields for rich-text context about the activity.
Writing notes about the interaction — capture everything relevant while it's fresh.

Use @mention to tag teammates directly in the description and assign follow-up actions inline.
Tip — Use the description to capture context, next steps, and @mention teammates who need to act on this interaction.Step 4 — Save the Activity
Click Create activity (or Save if editing). The activity is immediately logged to the record's activity feed.

The activity appears in the feed as soon as it's saved. You can edit it at any time by clicking the activity entry.
Step 5 — View the Activity in the Feed
All logged activities appear in the Activities tab feed, grouped by event. You can see who logged the activity, when, and a preview of the content.
The activity feed — grouped events show who logged the activity and any subsequent edits, with timestamps and content previews.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add activities to Deals and Companies too, not just People?
Yes. The Activities tab and the "+ Add activity" button are available on all record types — People, Companies, Deals, and any custom object you've created.
Can I edit an activity after saving it?
Yes. Click on any activity in the feed to open the Edit activity modal and update any field — title, description, date, participants, or linked records.
What does @mention do in the description?
Typing @ followed by a teammate's name tags them in the activity note. This is useful for assigning follow-ups or flagging something for a colleague's attention directly from the activity log.
Can I link an activity to multiple records?
Yes. The Linked records field accepts multiple records, so you can connect a single activity to a contact, their company, and a deal simultaneously.
Is there a limit to how many activities I can log?
No — you can log as many activities as needed per record. All entries appear in the feed in chronological order.
