How CRM Data Enrichment Work for Companies

Automatically fill and update your Company records with LinkedIn company data — configure triggers, costs, and field mappings.

Overview

Company enrichment in Breakcold pulls structured data from LinkedIn company pages and writes it directly into your Company records. Unlike People enrichment which has multiple data targets, Company enrichment uses a single enrichment target — Company metadata — which covers all available company attributes at once.
You control when enrichment fires (on creation, on updates, or both), and which fields each enriched attribute maps to via the Field Mappings table.

Primary enrichment signal — The Company Domain (website URL) is the key identifier Breakcold uses to find and enrich a company record. Make sure this field is populated for enrichment to work.

Step 1 — Access Company Enrichment Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Enrichment.
  2. Under Automatic Enrichment Settings, click Open settings next to Company.

Automatic Enrichment Triggers & Target

The Company Enrichment page has two trigger options and a single enrichment target:

Trigger

When it fires

Enable on new company

Auto-triggers enrichment as soon as a new company record is created.

Enable on company updates

Auto-triggers enrichment when tracked fields are updated on an existing company.

For each trigger, you select which data to fetch:

Enrichment target

Token cost

What it fetches

----

---

Company metadata

0 tokens

All available company data from the LinkedIn company page — name, domain, description, industry, headcount, location, specialties, funding, and more.

Tip — Company metadata enrichment is free (0 tokens per run), so it's practical to enable both triggers for all your Company records.

The Company Enrichment settings page — one enrichment target (Company metadata, 0 tokens / free) with two independent trigger options.

Assigning a mapping — click "Select target field" next to any attribute to choose an existing field or create a new one directly from this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the primary enrichment signal for a Company?
The Company Domain (website URL) is the key identifier used to look up the company's LinkedIn page. Ensure this field is accurate for enrichment to return correct results.
How is Company enrichment different from People enrichment?
Company enrichment has a single enrichment target — Company metadata (0 tokens / free) — which fetches all available attributes in one pass. People enrichment has separate targets (Work Email, Personal Email, Phone, LinkedIn, Person metadata) that can each be toggled independently and carry different token costs.
Can I enrich companies automatically when a new one is created?
Yes — toggle on Enable on new company. Every time a new Company record is created with a domain, enrichment will fire automatically.
Can I enrich existing companies when I update a field?
Yes — toggle on Enable on company updates. When a tracked field like the domain is changed, enrichment re-triggers automatically.
What if a destination field doesn't exist yet?
Click "Select target field" in the mappings table, then choose "Create new attribute" from the dropdown to create the field and map it in one step.
Does enriching a company also enrich the linked People records?
No — People and Company enrichment run independently. Enriching a Company record fills in Company fields only. To enrich the associated contacts, you need to trigger People enrichment separately.
