How to Create Filtered Views & Add Favorites

Customize your record lists with filters, column layouts, and sorting — then save them as reusable views and favorites.


Overview

Breakcold lets you create custom filtered views for People, Companies, and Deals. You can configure which columns are visible, how records are sorted, and apply filters to narrow down your data. Save these configurations as named views and add them to your Favorites in the sidebar for one-click access.

  • Display panel — choose columns, sorting, and table vs. Kanban layout
  • Filters — narrow records by field conditions (equals, is empty, starts with, etc.)
  • Save & Save as new — save your configuration as the current view or create a new one
  • Favorites — pin saved views to the left sidebar for quick access

Step 1 — Open the Display Panel

Navigate to any record list (People, Companies, or Deals) and click the Display button in the top-right corner.
Start on any record list — click "Display" in the top-right corner.

Step 2 — Customize Columns and Sorting

The Display panel lets you configure how your view looks:

  1. View Type — toggle between Table and Kanban layout.
  2. Sorting — choose which field to sort by (e.g. Last Interaction, Name, Created).
  3. Columns — check or uncheck fields to show or hide them in the table. Available fields include Last Interaction, Company, Job Title, Email, Phone, Bio, Tags, Owner, Created, and more.

Step 3 — Save the View

Once you've configured your columns and sorting, you have two options:

  1. Save — updates the current view with your new configuration.
  2. Save as new — creates a brand-new named view, leaving the original unchanged.


Click "Save" to update the current view, or "Save as new" to create a separate view.
A "View saved" confirmation appears when your changes are saved.

Step 4 — Add Filters to Narrow Your Data

Click the Filter button at the top of the page to add conditions that narrow which records are displayed.

  1. Click Filter to open the filter panel.
  2. Select a field to filter by (e.g. Website, People, Deals, Company Industry, LinkedIn, etc.).
  3. Choose a condition: equals, does not equal, starts with, is empty, or is not empty.


Select a field and a condition to filter your records.

  1. Click Apply to run the filter.

Choose a condition like "is empty" and click Apply.
The filtered view shows only matching records (e.g. 7 of 47 companies with no website).

Tip — You can stack multiple filters to create complex conditions. Each active filter appears as a chip at the top of the view.

Note — Breakcold also offers an AI Filter option at the top of the filter field list for natural-language filtering.

Step 5 — Save a Filtered View

After applying your filters, click Save as new in the Display panel to save this filtered configuration as a named view. The new view will appear in the view dropdown at the top of the page.
Saved views appear in the view dropdown for easy switching.

Step 6 — Add Views to Favorites

Saved views can be added to your Favorites so they appear in the left sidebar for one-click access. Favorites are visible under the Favorites section in the sidebar, below People, Companies, and Deals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I create filtered views for People, Companies, and Deals?
Yes. The same Display and Filter tools work across all three record types. Each object has its own set of saved views.
How many views can I create?
There is no limit. Create as many saved views as your workflow requires.
Can I combine multiple filters?
Yes. You can stack multiple filter conditions to create highly specific views. Each filter appears as a removable chip at the top of the list.
What is the AI Filter?
The AI Filter lets you describe your filter in natural language instead of manually selecting fields and conditions. It appears at the top of the filter field list.
How do I remove a view from Favorites?
Click the star icon next to the view name to toggle it out of Favorites. The view still exists in the view dropdown — it just won't appear in the sidebar.
Can I set a view as the default?
Yes. In the view dropdown, the view marked as "Default" loads automatically when you navigate to that record type. You can change which view is the default from the view selector.
