How to Customize your Sales Pipeline Cards
Control exactly which fields appear on your Kanban cards, how deals are grouped, and how columns are sorted — then save it as your default view.
Overview
In Breakcold's Kanban (Pipeline) view, each deal card displays a set of fields — Company, Owner, Deal Value, Source, and more. The Display panel lets you pick exactly which fields appear on every card, control the column grouping, set sorting, and handle deals with no value. Changes can be saved as the default view or as a new named view.
Step 1 — Switch to the Kanban View
- Go to Deals (or any pipeline object) in the left sidebar.
- In the top-right, click Kanban to switch from the Table view to the Pipeline/Kanban view.
- Click Display (top right) to open the Display panel.

The Deals Kanban view with the Display panel open — deal cards show fields like Company, Owner, Deal Value, Source, and Quick Notes.
Step 2 — Choose Which Fields Appear on Cards
The Fields section of the Display panel lists every available field for the object. Toggle each field on or off to show or hide it on the Kanban cards.
- Click the toggle next to any field name to show or hide it on the cards.
- The deal cards in the background update in real time as you toggle fields on and off.
The available fields you can show on cards include:
Field | What it shows on the card |
|---|---|
Company | The linked company name |
People | The linked contact(s) |
Deal Value | The monetary value of the deal |
Owner | The team member assigned to the deal |
Source | How the deal was sourced (e.g. WOM, Inbound) |
Quick Notes | A short note visible directly on the card |
Created | Date the deal record was created |
Updated | Date the deal record was last updated |
Pipeline Stage | The current stage of the deal |

Toggling fields on and off — each enabled field immediately appears on all Kanban cards in the view.
Additional fields like Created, Updated, and Pipeline Stage can also be shown on cards for more deal context at a glance.
Tip — The star icon (☆) next to a field in the Display panel marks it as the primary metric displayed prominently on the card. Use it on Deal Value to make revenue front and center.Step 3 — Configure Grouping and Sorting
The Display panel also controls how the Kanban columns are structured:
Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Sorting | Sort deals within each column by a chosen field (Deal Value, Created, Updated, etc.) |
Group By Field | The field used to create Kanban columns. Defaults to Pipeline Stage — each stage becomes a column. |
No Value Row | Controls how deals without a value in the Group By field are handled — choose which column they fall into. |
The Kanban columns are driven by the Group By Field — by default set to Pipeline Stage, creating one column per stage. |

The Sorting and Group By dropdowns — you can group by any field and sort deals within columns by value, date, or any other field.
Step 4 — Save the View
- Once your card fields, grouping, and sorting are configured, click Save at the bottom of the Display panel to save it as your default view.
- Alternatively, click Save as new to create a new named view without overwriting the current default.
- A "View saved" confirmation toast appears at the bottom of the screen.
"View saved" toast — your card layout, grouping, and sorting settings are now the default for this pipeline view.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does changing the card display affect all team members?
By default, views are personal — your display settings apply to your account. If you save a view as a new named view and share it, others can access it too.
Can I show custom fields on pipeline cards?
Yes — any custom field you've added to the Deals object will appear in the Display panel's field list and can be toggled onto the cards.
What does "No Value Row" do?
It controls where deals without a value in the Group By field are placed. For example, if grouping by Pipeline Stage and a deal has no stage assigned, the No Value Row setting determines which column it appears in.
Can I group by something other than Pipeline Stage?
Yes — change the Group By Field to any field on the Deals object (Owner, Source, Company, etc.) and the Kanban columns will reorganize accordingly.
What is "Save as new" vs "Save"?
Save updates the current view's settings. Save as new creates a separate named view with the current settings, leaving the original view unchanged — useful for having multiple pipeline configurations (e.g. "My Deals" vs "Team Pipeline").
