How Can I Top Up My Tokens
Overview
Tokens power AI-driven features in Breakcold — such as email enrichment, phone lookups, LinkedIn data, and AI Filter Generation. You can top up your token balance in two ways:
- Manual purchase — buy a specific amount of tokens on demand.
- Auto Top-Up — automatically refill your balance when it falls below a threshold.
To access token settings, navigate to Organization → Billing in the left sidebar.

The Billing page showing your current plan, resource limits, and Token Usage section.
Option 1 — Manually Buy Tokens
- Use the Buy Tokens button to make a one-time token purchase and instantly add funds to your organization's balance.
- Go to Organization → Billing in the sidebar.
- Scroll down to the Token Usage section. You will see your Current Balance.
- Click the Buy Tokens button on the right side of the Token Usage card.

The Token Usage section displays your current balance and the Buy Tokens button.
- A Buy Tokens modal will open. You can either type a custom amount in the input field, or click one of the preset options:
10,25,50, or100.
The Buy Tokens modal with preset options (10, 25, 50, 100) and a custom amount input.

- The estimated cost updates live as you type or select a preset. Click Buy to confirm the purchase.

Example: selecting 50 tokens shows an estimated cost of $0.50 before confirming.
Preset | Tokens | Estimated Cost |
|---|---|---|
10 | 10 | $0.10 |
25 | 25 | $0.25 |
50 | 50 | $0.50 |
100 | 100 | $1.00 |
Custom | Any amount | Calculated at $0.01 / token |
Option 2 — Enable Auto Top-Up
Auto Top-Up automatically purchases tokens whenever your balance drops below a defined threshold, so your team never runs out mid-workflow.
- On the Billing page, scroll down to the Auto Top-Up section (just below Token Usage).
- Toggle the switch from Disabled to Enabled.

Once enabled, three configuration fields appear: threshold, tokens to add, and monthly cap.
- Configure the three settings:
- Top up when balance falls below — the token threshold that triggers an automatic purchase (e.g.,
200). - Tokens to add — how many tokens to purchase each time the threshold is hit (e.g.,
1,000). - Maximum top-ups per month — a spending cap to limit how many automatic purchases can occur per month (e.g.,
3).
Example: trigger at 200 tokens remaining, add 1,000 tokens each time, capped at 3 top-ups per month.
- Click Save Settings to apply your Auto Top-Up configuration.
Toggling the switch off and saving returns Auto Top-Up to the Disabled state.
