How to Connect My LinkedIn Account?

Connect your LinkedIn account to send and receive LinkedIn messages directly from Breakcold.

Overview

Connecting your LinkedIn account lets you send and receive LinkedIn messages directly from Breakcold, sync your conversation history, and manage all your LinkedIn interactions alongside your other channels. Once connected, LinkedIn conversations appear in your unified inbox.

Step 1 — Go to the Accounts Page

  1. In the left sidebar, click Accounts under the Workspace section.
  2. Scroll down to the Social Channels section. You will see three options: LinkedInTelegram, and WhatsApp. Click + Connect under LinkedIn.

Click "+ Connect" under LinkedIn in the Social Channels section.

Step 2 — Sharing Settings

Before signing in, choose whether to keep the account private or share it with your team.

  • No, this is a private account — Only you can access this account. You can share it later.
  • Yes, this is a shared account — Allows other workspace members to use this account.
  1. Select your preference and click Connect.

Choose private or shared — you can always change this later.

Step 3 — Sign In to LinkedIn

The LinkedIn sign-in page will open. You can authenticate using two methods:

  • Credentials — Enter your LinkedIn email and password directly
  • Cookies — Authenticate using browser cookies (advanced)
  1. On the Credentials tab, enter your LinkedIn email and password.

Enter your LinkedIn email and password on the Credentials tab.

Optional Settings

Before clicking Login, you can expand Optional settings to configure:
Messaging history synchronization:

  • Synchronize chats — Import your existing LinkedIn chat list
  • Synchronize messages — Import the message history from your chats

Localization:

  • Choose from available countries — Use a default location based on your IP address, or select a specific country
  • Use your own proxy — Enter a custom proxy (protocol, domain, port, username, password) for advanced setups

Optional settings let you control message history sync and configure a custom proxy.

Tip — Keep both "Synchronize chats" and "Synchronize messages" checked to import your full LinkedIn conversation history into Breakcold.

Step 4 — Enter Credentials & Login

  1. After entering your email and password, click Login.

Enter your credentials and click "Login" to authenticate.

Step 5 — Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your LinkedIn account (which is recommended), you will see a "Please confirm Sign in" screen asking you to check your LinkedIn Mobile App.

  1. Open the LinkedIn app on your phone and approve the sign-in request.
  2. If you did not receive the notification, click Resend notification or Try another way for alternative verification methods.

Confirm the sign-in from your LinkedIn mobile app to complete two-factor authentication.

Warning — If you see a message saying "An additional step seems necessary to complete login," this means LinkedIn requires you to verify your identity. Open LinkedIn in your browser first, complete any security checks, and then retry the connection in Breakcold.

LinkedIn Connected!

After confirming the sign-in, you will see the "Account Connected" success page with a green checkmark.

  1. Click Return to Settings to go back to the Accounts page in Breakcold.

Your LinkedIn account is now connected — click "Return to Settings" to continue.

Your LinkedIn Inbox in Breakcold

After connecting, all your LinkedIn conversations appear in the Inbox under the LinkedIn channel view. You can read and reply to LinkedIn messages directly from Breakcold without switching to the LinkedIn app.
Your LinkedIn conversations are now synced and visible in the Breakcold inbox.
