How to Connect My WhatsApp Account?
Connect your WhatsApp account to send and receive WhatsApp messages directly from Breakcold.
Overview
Connecting your WhatsApp account lets you send and receive WhatsApp messages directly from Breakcold, sync your conversation history, and manage all your WhatsApp interactions alongside your other channels (Email, LinkedIn, Telegram). Breakcold offers two connection methods: QR code scanning or Pairing code via phone number.
Step 1 — Go to the Accounts Page
- In the left sidebar, click Accounts under the Workspace section.
- Scroll down to the Social Channels section and click + Connect under WhatsApp.
Click "+ Connect" under WhatsApp in the Social Channels section.

- Use the dropdown to select your preference:
- Don't import history — Start fresh with no past messages
- Import last 1 month
- Import last 3 months
- Import last 6 months
- Import last 12 months — Bring in the past year of conversations
- Click Next to continue.
Choose how far back to import — from 1 month to 12 months, or start fresh.
Step 3 — Sharing Settings

- No, this is a private account — Only you can access this account. You can share it later.
- Yes, this is a shared account — Allows other workspace members to use this account.
- Select your preference and click Connect.
Choose private or shared — you can always change this later.
Step 4 — Choose a Connection Method
You will see the "Sign in to WhatsApp" page with two tabs:
- QR code — Scan a QR code from your WhatsApp mobile app (recommended)
- Pairing code — Enter your phone number and receive a pairing code
Choose between QR code scanning or Pairing code — both connect your WhatsApp account.
Method 1 — QR Code (Recommended)
- Select the QR code tab. A QR code will appear with a countdown timer.
- Follow these steps on your phone:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone
- Tap Menu or Settings and select Linked devices

- Tap on Link a Device
- Point your phone at the screen to scan the QR code
Scan the QR code from your WhatsApp app — you have 60 seconds before it expires.
Warning — The QR code expires after 60 seconds. If it expires, a new code will be generated automatically. Have your phone ready before this step.
Method 2 — Pairing Code
- Select the Pairing code tab.
- Enter the phone number linked to your WhatsApp account. Include the country code without the local leading 0 (e.g.
+33600000000). The + is optional. - Click Show code. A pairing code will be generated that you enter in your WhatsApp mobile app to complete the link.

Enter your phone number with country code, then click "Show code" to get the pairing code.
Tip — The QR code method is faster and recommended for most users. Use the Pairing code method if you cannot scan a QR code (e.g. if you are setting up from a device without a camera).WhatsApp Connected!
After scanning the QR code or entering the pairing code, your WhatsApp account will be connected. You will see the "Account Connected" success page. Your WhatsApp conversations will begin syncing and will appear in the Inbox under the WhatsApp channel view.
Note — Once connected, you can manage your WhatsApp account from the Account Details page, where you can configure sharing settings, view sync status, and reconnect if needed.Frequently Asked Questions
