How to Connect my Telegram Account?
Connect your Telegram account to send and receive Telegram messages directly from Breakcold.
Overview
Connecting your Telegram account lets you send and receive Telegram messages directly from Breakcold, sync your conversation history, and manage all your Telegram interactions alongside your other channels (Email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp). Once connected, Telegram conversations appear in your unified inbox.
Step 1 — Go to the Accounts Page
- In the left sidebar, click Accounts under the Workspace section.
- Scroll down to the Social Channels section and click + Connect under Telegram.
Click "+ Connect" under Telegram in the Social Channels section.
Step 2 — History Import
Choose how much Telegram message history to import into Breakcold.
- Use the dropdown to select your preference:
- Don't import history — Start fresh with no past messages
- Import last 12 months — Bring in the past year of conversations
- Click Next to continue.
Choose how much history to import — "Import last 12 months" brings in your recent conversations.
Tip — Importing history is recommended if you want to see your existing Telegram conversations in Breakcold. If you only care about new messages going forward, select "Don't import history".Step 3 — Sharing Settings
Choose whether this Telegram account is private or shared with your team.
- No, this is a private account — Only you can access this account. You can share it later.
- Yes, this is a shared account — Allows other workspace members to use this account.
- Select your preference and click Connect.
Choose private or shared — you can always change this later.
Step 4 — Two-Factor Authentication (if enabled)
If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Telegram account, you will be asked to enter your 2FA password.
- Enter your 2FA password in the field provided.
- If you do not have 2FA enabled, click Skip (I don't use 2FA) to bypass this step.
- You can also expand Synchronization settings to configure additional sync options. Click Submit to continue.

Enter your 2FA password, or click "Skip (I don't use 2FA)" if you haven't set one up.
Step 5 — Scan the QR Code
After submitting, you will see a QR code that you need to scan from your Telegram mobile app.
- Follow these steps on your phone:
- Open Telegram on your phone
- Tap Settings, then select Devices
- Tap on Link Desktop Device
- Point your phone at the screen to scan the QR code

Scan the QR code from your Telegram app — you have 30 seconds before it expires.
Warning — The QR code expires after 30 seconds. If it expires, a new code will be generated automatically. Make sure you have your phone ready before this step.- Once you scan the QR code successfully, you will see the "Account Connected" success page. Click Return to Settings to go back to Breakcold.

After connecting, your Telegram account will appear in the Social Channels section with a Connected status. Your Telegram conversations will begin syncing and will appear in the Inbox under the Telegram channel view.
Note — Once connected, you can manage your Telegram account from the Account Details page, where you can configure sharing settings, view sync status, and reconnect if needed.Frequently Asked Questions
How do I connect my Telegram account?
Go to Accounts > Social Channels > Telegram > + Connect. Choose history import and sharing settings, enter your 2FA password (if applicable), then scan the QR code with your Telegram app.
Do I need two-factor authentication?
No. If you don't have 2FA enabled on your Telegram account, click "Skip (I don't use 2FA)" to bypass that step.
How do I scan the QR code?
Open Telegram on your phone, go to Settings > Devices > Link Desktop Device, then point your camera at the QR code on screen.
What if the QR code expires?
The QR code refreshes automatically every 30 seconds. If it expires, wait for a new one to appear and scan it quickly.
Can I import my existing Telegram conversations?
Yes. During setup, select "Import last 12 months" in the History Import step to bring in your recent conversations.
Can I share my Telegram account with my team?
Yes. Choose "shared account" during setup, or change it later from the Sharing section in the account details page. You can set granular read/write permissions per team member.
Where do Telegram messages appear in Breakcold?
Once connected, Telegram conversations appear in the Inbox under the Telegram channel view, alongside your Email, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp messages.
