User Settings (Change Email, Dark Mode, Change Language, Add profile picture & more)

Personalize your Breakcold experience by updating your profile, display preferences, and account details.


Overview

The User Settings page in Breakcold lets you manage your personal information and display preferences. From here you can:

  • Change your profile picture (avatar)
  • Update your full name
  • Change your email address
  • Switch between Light, Dark, and System themes
  • Change the language (English, Français, Español)
  • Set your timezone

How to Access User Settings

  1. Click on your name at the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
  2. A menu will appear with several options. Click Profile Settings to open the full settings page.


Click your name at the bottom-left, then select "Profile Settings" from the menu.

Tip — You can also quickly switch the theme (Light / Dark / System) directly from this menu by hovering over Theme without opening the full settings page.

Profile Settings Page Overview

The Profile Settings page is divided into two main sections: Profile Information and Display Preferences.

Change Your Profile Picture

  1. On the Profile Settings page, locate the Profile Picture section at the top.
  2. Click on your current avatar or the upload area. A file picker will open so you can select a new image from your computer.
  3. To remove your current picture, click the Remove Avatar button.

The file picker dialog lets you select a new profile picture from your computer.

Note — Accepted formats include PNG, JPG, and GIF. Pick a clear, recognizable image — your avatar appears across the CRM so your team can identify you easily.

Update Your Full Name

  1. On the Profile Settings page, click on the Full Name field.
  2. Edit your name as needed. The change saves automatically.

Change Your Email Address

  1. On the Profile Settings page, find the Email field.
  2. Click the Update button next to your current email address.
  3. Type your new email address in the field, then click Save to confirm or Cancel to discard.

After clicking Update, edit the email and click Save to confirm.

Warning — If you signed in with Google or Microsoft using this email, your account will be linked to the new address. Make sure you have access to the new email before saving.

Switch Between Light, Dark & System Theme

  1. In the Display Preferences section, find the Theme dropdown.
  2. Click the dropdown and choose between Light, Dark, or System (matches your OS preference).

The Theme dropdown lets you pick Light, Dark, or System mode.

The entire Breakcold interface switches to Dark mode instantly.

Tip — You can also toggle the theme quickly from the sidebar menu (click your name → Theme) without opening the full settings page.

Change the Language

  1. In the Display Preferences section, find the Language dropdown.
  2. Click the dropdown and select your preferred language: English, Français, or Español (other languages are coming soon, ask us what you need in the chat)

Choose your preferred language from the dropdown.

Note — The language change takes effect across the entire Breakcold interface immediately.

Set Your Timezone

  1. In the Display Preferences section, find the Timezone dropdown.
  2. Click the dropdown and select your timezone from the list. Available options include major cities and their GMT offsets.

Select your timezone — options include cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and more.

Tip — Setting the correct timezone ensures that all timestamps, task due dates, and meeting times display accurately for you.

How do I access my user settings?
Click your name at the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, then select "Profile Settings" from the menu.
Can I switch to Dark mode without going to settings?
Yes! Click your name in the sidebar and hover over "Theme" to quickly switch between Light, Dark, and System modes.
What languages are available?
Breakcold currently supports English, Français (French), and Español (Spanish).
Will changing my email affect my login?
